Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what WITHSAJU collects, why, and the choices you have. Short version: we only use your birth data to calculate your sign and readings, we don't sell or share your personal information for advertising, and birthdays are never shown to other people.
1. What we collect
- What you enter: your name or nickname, birthday, and optionally your birth time. For a full reading, also gender (used only to set the direction of your 10-year luck cycles).
- Email (optional): if you save your page or reading, or reserve a reading. Used only to send you links to your page and readings, and messages about your purchase.
- Payment: handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record (card processing by Stripe). We don't see or store your card details. We receive your order number, amount and the email you used at checkout, so we can link your reading to it.
- Technical data: your IP address is turned into a one-way code (a hash) to stop spam and abuse; we don't store the IP itself. We count page visits and button taps (like "share") without cookies and without identifying you, to see what works.
- On your device: your browser's local storage remembers your sign, your page key and your reading links so they open again on that device. This stays on your device; you can clear it in your browser settings.
2. How we use it
- To calculate your Korean sign, compatibility scores and readings.
- To show your page to people you share it with (names, signs and relationship types only, never birthdays).
- To deliver and let you reopen your readings, and to provide support and refunds.
- To keep the Service safe and working.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't use it for automated decisions with legal or similar effects.
3. Who processes it for us
We use a small set of service providers who process data only on our instructions:
- Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (database), in the United States.
- Google (Gemini AI) to write readings: we send your chart, name, birthday, birth time and gender. We don't send your email.
- Resend, to send emails (once email sending is turned on).
- Lemon Squeezy, to take payments, as Merchant of Record.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your page, entries and readings until you ask us to delete them, so your links keep working. Spam-prevention codes and visit counts are kept for up to 12 months. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
5. Your choices and rights
- You can remove friends from your page at any time. Friends can choose not to appear on your page when they add their birthday.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, including your page and readings. Write to us at the support email listed on this page (being set up for launch) with the link to your page or reading so we can find it.
- California residents have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. We don't sell or share personal information, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. Residents of other US states with similar laws have the same rights.
6. Children
WITHSAJU isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it. Buying a reading requires being 18 or older.
7. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, keep page and login keys only as one-way codes, and limit database access to our server. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your private links to yourself.
8. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Questions or requests: the support email listed on this page (being set up for launch).
